This Is The One DIY Cleaner I Use Every Single Day

As hard as it is for me to believe, I’ve been sharing tips about cleaning, laundry, and other facets of homemaking here on my blog for nearly 10 years now! I’ve learned many valuable lessons along the way, but one that stands out as making my own life at home easier was realizing just how useful it is to keep a stock of basic cleaning ingredients on hand.

Basic cleaning agents like baking soda, white vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, and the other items on my list of “superstar” cleaning ingredients are versatile and effective cleaners in their own right. But on top of that, you can also use them to whip up a variety of cleaning concoctions at a moment’s notice, including the all-purpose cleaning spray that I’ll be sharing with you today!

Featuring grease-cutting ingredients like borax and washing soda, this spray cleaner is ideal for everyday tasks like wiping down countertops, erasing splatters from cupboard doors, and removing smudges from furniture and appliances. And thanks to a few drops of Simple Clean, this spray leaves behind a naturally clean, fresh scent, and gives fixtures a nice shine to boot!

Here’s how to make it so you can give it a try at home! How To Make My Natural All-Purpose Cleaning Spray

You’ll need:

• 1 tsp borax
• 1/2 tsp washing soda
• 1 tsp Castile soap
• 20 drops Simple Clean Essential Oil Blend
• 2 cups hot water
• Glass spray bottle

Directions:

Remove the top from your spray bottle and add the borax, washing soda, Castile soap, and Simple Clean. (A funnel definitely comes in handy here!)

Pour the hot water into the bottle and replace the spray top. Shake the bottle gently to dissolve and mix the ingredients together.

How To Use It

Spray your finished all-purpose cleaning spray onto the surface you want to clean, then wipe with a microfiber cleaning cloth. (If you’re dealing with a particularly sticky or greasy mess, you may want to let the spray sit for a minute or two before wiping to give the ingredients time to work their magic.)
