These Delicious Frozen Breakfast “Pops” Will Make You Never Want To Skip Breakfast

I’m sure we’ve all have those mornings where it’s a miracle you even make it out the door on time. And if you’re anything like me, those kinds of mornings usually don’t involve breakfast of any kind, because there simply isn’t enough time! But hopefully today’s post will convince you that even on your busiest mornings, there’s still time for breakfast! All you need is a few simple ingredients and a freezer!

The concept of frozen breakfast pops may sounds strange, but it’s a simple way to turn a sit-down breakfast into a get-up-and-go breakfast. You can grab a frozen treat on a stick on the way out the door, and still get the nutritional boost you need to get you through the day. Not only are they healthy and convenient, but there are a lot of different kinds you can make to keep things interesting! Here are a few of our favorites…

Homemade Frozen Breakfast Pops

Blueberry Oatmeal Pops

adapted from Petite Allergy Treats

  • 1/2 cup gluten free quick oats
  • 1 cup water or milk of choice
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt

Heat oatmeal and your liquid of choice in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or until steaming hot. Mix in the frozen blueberries, maple syrup, and yogurt.

Pour the mixture into popsicle molds.

Place in freezer for 4-6 hours or until completely frozen.

Green Smoothie Pops

from 5 Minutes for Mom

  • 1-1/2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or your can make your own!)
  • 1 banana
  • 2 Tbsp almond butter
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • 1 large handful of spinach

Put all ingredients into your blender, and blend on high until smooth and creamy. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds and freeze until solid, at least 4 hours.

Mocha Pops

from The Cookie Rookie

  • 2 cups store-bought iced mocha beverage (or visit the original recipe from The Cookie Rookie for a homemade version)
  • 1 cup vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup milk

Fill each popsicle mold about 1/2 way with the iced mocha beverage.

Place the molds in your freezer with the popsicle sticks in place for at least 2 hours.

In a blender, mix the frozen yogurt, chocolate chips, and milk.

Pour a 1/2″ layer of the frozen yogurt mixture into each mold, and allow this layer to freeze for at least 2 hours. Add a final layer of the iced mocha beverage, then allow the pops to freeze fully overnight.

Super Simple Parfait Pops

  • Yogurt
  • Fruit
  • Granola (optional)

This recipe can be whatever you want it to be! Simply fill your popsicle molds with alternating layers of your yogurt of choice and your fruit of choice, and freeze the pops until solid.

Optionally, you can roll the frozen pops in a layer of granola before eating. Enjoy!

What’s your favorite on-the-go breakfast for busy mornings?
