Running out of cleaning or laundry products at home? Have no fear, because I'm sharing over two dozen of my favorite homemade cleaning and laundry products here!

In today’s post, we’ll be rounding out the week by exploring some of my all-time favorite homemade cleaning and laundry products. It’s still difficult to predict which cleaning and laundry items will be on the shelves when you do your grocery shopping, so knowing how to make them yourself is currently a very valuable skill to have!

I’ve shared a lot of different homemade cleaners and laundry products here on my blog over the years, so it’s actually pretty impressive that I managed to limit myself to 13 of each for this post. 😉 So without any further ado, here are 13 homemade cleaning products and 13 homemade laundry products you can make at home to save time and money while keeping your home squeaky clean!

There are so many things I love about this tub and shower cleaner, like the fact that it’s so easy to make, I always have the ingredients on hand, and it’s more effective than any other shower cleaner I’ve tried (including store-bought ones!) Give it a try for yourself, and prepare to be amazed!

3. Degreasing Spray

When you’re dealing with a really greasy mess, standard cleaning products just won’t cut it. But this degreasing spray will help you cut through grease and grime with ease!

4. Mold & Mildew Cleaner

Worried about mold or mildew growth in your tub or shower? This spray uses vinegar to cut through all the soap scum and other gunk that can contribute to the problem, plus anti-fungal tea tree oil to stop mold and mildew in their tracks.

5. Dusting Spray

Dusting has always been one of my least favorite chores, but with the help of this dusting spray, at least I know the results will last longer! Use this spray while dusting to eliminate loose dirt and dust and repel it in the future.

8. DIY Cleaning Wipes

Cleaning and disinfecting wipes are hard to come by in stores these days, but it’s easy to make your own at home! And these ones are reusable, meaning they’re cheaper and less wasteful that the store-bought variety.

This versatile cleaner is your new go-to for gunk of all kinds. Whether you’re struggling with adhesive residue, oily messes, or waxy gunk, this cleaner is sure to make short work of it!

13 Laundry Products You Can Make At Home

Note: Items 1-4 in this section are included in the Laundry Recipes set of Spray Bottle Labels available in my shop! Check them out here.

1. Stain Remover Spray

This is my go-to stain remover spray for pretreating all sorts of everyday stains, like grass stains, food spills, and oil splatters. Keep it by your washing machine so it’s easy to grab when you’re getting ready to start a load of laundry.

2. Spray Starch

This homemade spray starch will give your dress clothes that crisp, clean look for a fraction of the cost! And you won’t believe how quick and easy it is to make.

3. Wrinkle Release Spray

Have your shirts gotten a bit wrinkled while sitting in your dresser drawers? This wrinkle release spray will help you make short work of it, restoring it to a smooth state without even pulling out your clothes iron.

4. Linen Spray

Freshen up your linens whenever you like with this easy homemade linen spray! I like to use lavender oil for its relaxing and floral scent, but you can customize the scent to suit your own preferences.

5. Liquid Laundry Detergent

A lot of liquid laundry detergents require you to grate up solid laundry soap, which is a lot harder than it sounds! But in this version, you can let your blender do the hard work for you, so you can enjoy your own liquid laundry detergent without the arm workout.

6. Powdered Laundry Detergent

This powdered laundry detergent is one of my all-time favorite homemade laundry products. For right around $30 in materials, you can make enough high-quality detergent for at least the next several months (or up to a year depending on how small your household is!)

7. Dryer Sheets

Instead of standard dryer sheets that are meant to be thrown away, why not make your own reusable ones? All you need is a stack of washcloths and some liquid fabric softener, and you can make your own reusable dryer sheets that are just as effective as the store-bought kind.

8. Liquid Fabric Softener

Out of liquid fabric softener at home? You won’t believe how easy it is to make your own! With the help of a little vinegar and hair conditioner, you can have a big batch of fabric softener ready to use in minutes.

9. Fabric Refreshing Spray

This spray is a great way to freshen up your clothes between washes! Fewer washes will help your clothes last longer, and with this spray, you can make sure they look and smell just as fresh as they would after laundry day.

10. Fabric Softener Crystals

Fabric softener crystals are less messy than the liquid stuff, but they can also be expensive. With this homemade version, you can make your own for pennies, plus you have total control over how strong the scent will be!

11. Dryer Balls

Adding dryer balls to your dryer can help improve air circulation, resulting in faster dry times. They’re also surprisingly fun to make, and all you need is some yarn to do it!

12. DIY “Dryel” Dry Cleaner

Have some “dry clean only” items that could use a good cleaning? Learn the surprisingly simple secrets behind replicating a Dryel-style at-home dry cleaning process!

13. Color Catchers

These clever little sheets may look like dryer sheets, but they’re actually designed for use in your washing machine. They help to absorb loose dyes in the wash to prevent them from adhering to your other clothing.
