In Honor Of Teachers…

I was listening to my 12 year old son and his friend talk about their new science teacher today.  They were cracking up relating some of the stuff the teacher has said and done this past week.  Apparently his demonstration of how electron and protons work was VERY humorous! 🙂  It did my heart good to hear that my son is enjoying this teacher and his science class so much…and made me think of all the WONDERFUL teachers my 4 kids have had over the years. Of course, then I had to figure it out….I’m a bit obsessive that way.

Erik – Preschool, Kindergarten, Grades 1-12
Britta – Preschool, Kindergarten, Grades 1-12
Kell – Preschool, Kindergarten, Grades 1-9 (now in 10th)
Sten – Preschool, Kindergarten, Grades 1-6 (now in 7th)

If my calculations are correct (which I doubt they are…but close enough!), so far my kids have been taught by approximately 134 different teachers! Sure, we’ve had our “challenges” with teachers along the way…but the number of amazing, dedicated teachers FAR outnumber those.

So in honor of all the teachers out there who day after day continue to attempt to and excel at instilling a love of learning in our kids…..these words of inspiration are for you!
