A Faster, Smarter Way To Make Hard-Boiled Eggs

If you’ve ever needed to make several hard-boiled eggs to use in a recipe, then you already know what a pain it can be. You have to cook them, cool them, then peel them all individually, then chop them up and throw them into your potato salad, egg salad, or whatever it is that you’re making. And it takes forever.

But with this new Instant Pot method, you cook the eggs out of the shell. No shell means no peeling, so you’ll have your cooked eggs ready to go in half the time it would normally take, or less!

You’ll need:

Grease your pan with butter or cooking spray, then crack the 8 eggs into the bottom of the pan.

Pour 1 cup of water into the bottom of your Instant Pot, then set the trivet inside. Place the pan of eggs onto the trivet and secure the lid.

Cook the eggs on High pressure for 6 minutes, Natural Release for 5 minutes, then Quick Release any remaining pressure in the pot.

Carefully remove the pan from the pot, and remove the “block” of eggs from the pan. Transfer the eggs to a cutting board, chop them up, and you’re done!
