One Good Thing Is Getting a Serious Upgrade (And You’re Getting It First!)

Because you’re one of my most dedicated readers, you’re getting exclusive early access to my new-and-improved newsletter before I make it available to anyone else. There’s no one better to help me make sure that it’s as useful and enjoyable as possible!

But before we get to that, I wanted to tell you a little bit about some of the exciting changes that are coming to the newsletter, why I’m making them, and hopefully clear up any questions you might have about what will be different and what’s staying the same.

It’s Time For A Change

As of this very month, I have been sharing my ideas on One Good Thing by Jillee every day for 10 years! And while I remain as committed as ever to providing you with “one good thing” a day, it feels like the right time to try a fresh approach to sharing useful ideas and practical tips with you.

Publishing a new post on my blog every day has allowed me to reach millions of readers, but the format’s limitations have prevented me from sharing all the ideas I’ve wanted to share with you. Transitioning to a new-and-improved newsletter format gives me the chance to share a wider variety of ideas in a more digestible way, and continue to grow this incredible community that inspires me every day!

What’s New-And-Improved?

From now on, my daily “one good thing” will be just the beginning, because each day’s newsletter will have multiple sections filled with useful advice, practical tips, and the household know-how that helps make your life easier.

My new newsletter will also give us the opportunity to interact more directly. Not only will I get to share more with you in each newsletter, but you’ll be able to share your thoughts with me—about the day’s newsletter or anything else—just by hitting “reply!”

A Whole New Look

The first thing you’re likely to notice about the emails you get from me moving forward is that they look a lot different! There will be a lot more for you to read in each one, but in shorter, more skimmable sections you can peruse at your own pace.

More To Learn And Enjoy

The largest section of the newsletter will be devoted to the “one good thing” of the day, but there will be plenty more for you to explore when you’re done with it! You’ll find more of the household tips and tricks you love, plus other stuff like upcoming events, daily inspiration, product recommendations, and more.

I’m also going to be trying out some new ideas that I’m excited about. Look for these in upcoming newsletters:

  • Weekly polls
  • Games and quizzes
  • Weekly motivation
  • Nostalgia
  • Reader highlights

Ultimately, I want the One Good Thing newsletter to give you a daily dose of useful ideas and positive energy that will help you start each day on the right foot!

More Personal

Another exciting aspect of the new newsletter is that it gives me the freedom to share more personal stuff than I’ve been able to on my blog alone. I’m looking forward to telling you what I’m up to at home, sharing interesting stuff I find online, giving sneak previews of upcoming tips, and including other types of personal updates!

Sponsorships

The new newsletters will occasionally be sponsored by brands I love and want you to know about. These brand partnerships will ensure that One Good Thing by Jillee remains free to you both as a blog and as a newsletter. Sponsored content will always be clearly marked and feel right at home among the other “good things” in each newsletter.

Rewards For Sharing

While it’s not quite ready yet, I’ve also been working on establishing an exciting new referral program where you’ll be able to earn rewards just for sharing the newsletter with people you think will love it! (More details to come on this, so stay tuned!)

Updated Delivery Time

For years I’ve sent my newsletters out at 12:00 am MT, but the new newsletter is getting a new delivery time too! Moving forward, you can expect to receive them first thing in the morning, between 5:00 – 6:00 am MT.

What’s Staying The Same?

“One Good Thing” A Day

While the look and feel of the newsletter are changing, certain things will stay the same. For example, you’re still going to get my “one good thing” delivered to your inbox every day. (I’ve been doing this for 10 years after all, and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon!)

It’s Still Free

My website will stay the same as well, so you can still revisit your favorite posts from the past and check out the latest ones. You can also rest easy knowing that both my website and my email newsletter will continue to be available to you for free.

You’ll Get It Automatically

The last thing I wanted to point out that won’t be different is how you receive emails from me. Since you’re already subscribed, you’ll start getting the new newsletter automatically, so all you have to do is sit back and enjoy!

Well, actually

I Want To Hear From You!

As a dedicated reader, I wanted you to have exclusive early access to my new newsletter because there’s no one I trust more to help me get it right! I want to make sure this newsletter is as informative, interesting, and fun to read as possible, and to do that, I need your help.

Throughout the early access week, I want to hear any thoughts you have about the newsletters you receive. I want to know what you like, what you don’t like, what you think needs improvement, what you want more of, or anything else that might be on your mind!

Your feedback will be invaluable as I work to ensure that the new newsletter is “OGT reader approved” before I unveil it to anyone else. And sharing your feedback is super easy—just reply to any of the newsletters you receive this week and tell me what you think!

I appreciate your feedback in advance, and thank you so much for all your support!

The new-and-improved One Good Thing newsletter is launching on Tuesday, June 1st!

Look forward to these “good things” (and much more!) in the first few issues:

  • A game-changing TikTok tip
  • My top book recommendations
  • Useful foods to keep in your freezer
  • Solutions for an age-old laundry problem
  • The inaugural Poll of the Week
  • A beneficial bathroom swap
