My husband has always been the kind of person who will do hours of research before buying, well, anything. He wants to know every spec, how the price compares to similar products, how many 5-star reviews it has, and so on before he’ll even consider clicking “Add To Cart.”
Personally, I’m much too impatient to follow in his footsteps for the most part. But when it comes to things I know I’ll use all the time, I’m willing to put in the time and effort required (though perhaps a little less than Dave would) to ensure I end up with a quality product!
That’s exactly what I do whenever I buy a new vacuum, because I’ve had enough crummy vacuums over the years to know that it’s a decision I don’t want to get wrong. (After all, the more I like my vacuum, the more likely I am to use it and use it often!)
So I thought I’d put some of my recent research to good use by sharing some of the best vacuums with you in today’s post! The vacuums I chose to highlight in this post each have thousands of positive reviews, an average rating between 4 and 5 stars, and offer some of the best features in their category or price range.
So if you’re in the market for a vacuum or are interested in upgrading, consider this post a convenient starting point for your search!
The Best Vacuums For Your Home And Budget In 2021
Best Under $100: BISSELL Cleanview Swivel Pet Upright Vacuum Cleaner
This is the bestselling vacuum on Amazon right now, and it has been for a while. Between the rave reviews, its popularity, and its price, I simply had to give it a try for myself to find out if it actually lived up to the hype.
Personally, I believe the hype is warranted! I was surprised by how powerful the suction felt as soon as I turned the vacuum on, and I was impressed by how easy it was to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles.
For under $100, I didn’t expect that this vacuum would have much to offer by way of accessories, but it comes with all the basics! It even includes a pet hair brush that seems every bit as effective (if not more so) than others I’ve used in the past.
Ultimately, I think that if you’re looking for an upright corded vacuum that works well and you don’t want to spend a fortune on it, this is pretty close to an ideal candidate!
Best Cordless For Big Homes: Dyson V11 Outsize Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
Dyson vacuums aren’t exactly known for being budget-friendly, but if you have a lot of carpeting and hard floors to cover and don’t want to deal with a power cord, the Dyson V11 could be worth the splurge. It features both a full-size cleaner head and a full-size dust cup, making it a lightweight cordless vacuum with the cleaning ability of a traditional full-size model.
Each battery can run for about 60 minutes, and since this vacuum comes with two of them, you can use them back-to-back for up to two hours of total runtime. Factor in its advanced air filtration system and the array of useful accessories that are included, it’s hard to think of anything you could want in a vacuum that the Dyson V11 doesn’t have!
Best Cordless For Quick Cleanup: Tineco A11 Hero Cordless Lightweight Stick Vacuum
If you’re looking for a lightweight cordless vacuum in a more approachable price range, the Tineco A11 Hero deserves a closer look. With a runtime of up to 40 minutes, this model’s battery should give you more than enough time to tackle the floors in a smaller home or apartment.
Like other stick vacuums, you can remove the main tube and power brush to convert it to a handheld vac to clean out cars, vacuum the stairs, and more. The reviews for this vacuum are filled with happy customers, so it’s an option worth considering if you’re looking for a budget-friendly cordless vacuum!
Best Robot: eufy RoboVac 11S
Despite the fact that some robot vacuums can run you $500 or more, it’s not impossible to find a good one at an affordable price. In fact, you’ve already found one here, in the form of the eufy RoboVac 11S. 🙂
If the eufy brand doesn’t sound familiar, you may be more familiar with its parent company Anker, which specializes in computer and phone accessories. Their eufy brand offers an array of home security products, smart home solutions, and vacuums like the highly-reviewed RoboVac 11S.
At just under 3” tall, it’s one of the slimmest robot vacuums on the market, and features quiet operation and plenty of suction. And when the battery is low, this robot vacuum will return to its charging station without you needing to lift a finger.
Quite honestly, I would be happy to own and use any of these vacuums! But if you’re not picky about features and just want a good vacuum at a good price, you really can’t beat the BISSELL Cleanview.
I’ll continue to keep my eye on the latest vacuum models so I can update this post to help keep you in the loop! Because cleaning is already a chore, and if buying a decent vacuum makes it even just a little bit easier, I say that’s money well spent! 🙂
